23 June 2009 - AC/DC!!!

AC/DC is an Australian rock band that was founded by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young in 1973. In 1979 they recorded the succesful album 'Highway to Hell'.
In 1980 lead singer Bon Scott died and was replaced by Brian Johnson. The first album AC/DC recorded with its new singer was 'Back in Black'. This album was very succesful all over the world and today it's the best selling album worldwide after Michael Jackson's Thriller.

On the 23rd of June they gave a concert in the Amsterdam Arena in the Netherlands for their Black Ice tour. I had seen them earlier in this tour in Ahoy and that concert was really fantastic! I also had tickets for their show in Amsterdam and since it's my favorite band I never want to miss a concert of them in the Netherlans.

Fellow collector Rob 'de Rocker' (not to be mistaken for Rob 'de Bouwer') told me that the last time they performed in the Netherlands he had seen them at the hotel. I really wanted to meet them so I went the day before the concert, the day of the concert and the day after the concert to the hotel, with luck!
