On Wednesday the 2nd of April I went to the concert of Kate Nash in Paradiso. The concert was fantastic and afterwards I went to the stage door. When she came out it turned out that she likes Dutch Beer. She signed two photos for me and the ticket to the concert.

The Lifetime Achievement Award of the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival was going to Tim Burton this year and the good news was that he would be coming to collect it on Wednesday the 9th of April. After waiting with fellow collectors for some time Tim Burton arrived. For me he signed a lobby card of Sleepy Hollow, a photo and the DVD of Big Fish. He also posed for a photo.

On Thursday the 10th of April Tim Burton had a signing session and a Q&A at the AFFF. In the morning I went to the Hema to get the posed photo printed of the day before. Then I went to the place where the signing session would be held. After a few minutes Michel joined me and after a while fellow collectors Dennis, Danny, Roy, Renee and Rutger also arrived. At two p.m. we were allowed to go into the building and at 3 p.m. the signing session started. Tim Burton was very friendly and signed my poster of Batman Returns and the posed photo for me. After the signing session we decided to wait for Tim Burton to leave because Danny wanted a posed photo with him. Because I forgot my MP3 player I went with Danny to the McDonalds. When Tim Burton came out I took the photo for Danny and also led Tim Burton sign my DVD of Ed Wood. Then Michel and I said goodbye to the others because we wanted to go to the studio of De Wereld Draait Door.

When Michel and I arrived at De Plantage, we saw Eva van de Wijdeven waiting outside. She signed a photo of Nachtrit for me and posed for a photo. After waiting for a few minutes Maryam Hassouni arrived and signed a photo for me. She also posed for a photo. Not to long after that Katja Schuurman arrived. She signed two DVD’s of All Stars for me and posed for a photo. I also had a posed photo with Johan Derksen.

After René dropped Roy and me off in Roermond, Roy and I went to the CV Theater where Edo Brunner and Steve Hooi would be performing that night. Just when we arrived at the stage door Edo Brunner and Steve Hooi opened to stage door. Steve Hooi signed a photo of him in Sl8n8 and the DVD of Sl8n8. Edo Brunner signed the DVD’s of Dennis P. and De Zwarte Meteoor. They also posed for photos.

On Saturday the 19th of April I went to Theater aan het Vrijthof together with Danny, Jeroen and Roy. Over there I managed to get the autographs of Cas Enklaar, Wim van de Heuvel, Marion Brandsma, Joost Prinssen and Els Ingeborg Smits.

On Sunday the 20th of April I went to Paagman in Den Haag. Anton Corbijn, the director of Control, would be having an interview with autograph section over there. The interview was very interesting and afterwards Anton Corbijn signed a photo and the DVD of Control for me. He also posed for a photo.

The premiere of the musical 'The Fantasticks' was held on Monday the 28th of April. Stepko and I decided to go to it, but because we arrived very early we decided to get something to eat in the building next to the theatre. When we were finished we saw Johnny Kraaijkamp and Arjan Everveen doing an interview outside. After the interview we went to them and Johnny Kraaijkamp posed for a photo with me. While waiting in the restaurant I also spotted Peter Tuinman. I went through my stuff and found the DVD cover of De Zwarte Meteoor. When he walked by I asked him if he wanted to sign it and so he did. He also posed for a photo. A few minutes, and bitterballs, later we saw Serge-Henri Valcke walking in, but we were to late to ask him for anything and we did not want to bother him while he was having dinner so we waited. Then it was getting a bit crowded around the red carpet so we decided to go outside. We saw Bea Meulman (Rietje Brouwer in SamSam), driving by, but before she got out of the car, Stjepko saw Nelly Frijda. I quickly grabbed my DVD and photo of Flodder and when she had signed it, she was also willing to pose for a photo. When Bea Meulman arrived at the red carpet I asked her if she was willing to pose for a photo and luckily for me, she was. One of the last guest to arrive was Serge-Henri Valcke and he was very glad to sign my items. He signed my DVD's of Amsterdamned, Lang Leve de Koningin and Sl8n8 and a little photo of Amsterdamned. He also was willing to pose for a photo.
