On Friday the 28th of March I went to Brussels where the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival was held. After a journey of five hours, because we were struck in a traffic jam for two and a half hours, Stjepko and I finally arrived in Brussels. Danny and Roy already managed to get the autograph of Jurgen Prochnow when he entered the building. Jurgen Prochnow would be having an Q&A with a signing session at 23.45 so I realized that it could turn out to become a very long day. After we were there for a few minutes Gregory arrived. After talking for a while, Danny and Roy decided to leave, but then they saw Jurgen Prochnow on stage. When I went to one side of the stage I saw Fred and Rene. Just when they went to the other side of the stage to greet the rest of the gang, Jurgen Prochnow left the stage on my side. I asked if he wanted to sign some things for me and fortunately he did. He signed photos of Das Boot and Beverly Hills Cop II for me and the DVD’s of The Da Vinci Code and Das Boot. He also was willing to pose for a photo.
When we decided to leave I saw Alex la Iglesia standing in the VIP room. I asked him if he wanted to sign my photo. He came out of the VIP room and started to show his creativity. He was drawing a lot of things on my photo and then he signed it. He also posed for a photo. But that was not my last autograph I got that day. Gregory gave me a DVD of Romancing the Stone which was signed by Katleen Turner at the film festival of Gent. Thank you very much!
Because everything, with exception of Rene, had what he wanted we decided to leave. We said goodbye to Gregory and Danny, Roy, Stjepko, Fred and me decided to get something to eat. We drove to a restaurant next to the highway. When we were finished we said goodbye to Stjepko and headed for Limburg.
